PATENT PENDINGTECHNOLOGY

3D Computer Paint System
Virtual Reality Environment Creation

 ABSTRACT

An extension of basic technology disclosed in US Patent #4,925,294 the program "223" is a 3D Computer Paint System that may be used to create original stereoscopic binocular 3D images, or to convert 2D image elements into 3D images. A new 3D input device (a 3D mouse); several unique image creation/manipulation techniques; and, new 3D user-interface mechanisms are disclosed in a patent application. Providing an illustrator's (rather than a programmer's) interface for the creation of three-dimensional information, applications include medical and scientific illustration, and the creation of games and Virtual Reality environments. Not only does this provide a path for traditionally trained artists to become involved in VR but, in addition, a mechanism to incorporate much-needed texture and detail into VR environments.
Because of the patent-pending nature of this technology, details cannot be disclosed publicly. However, confidential disclosure may be made to interested parties.
