 ABSTRACT


         Video sequences are sliced and diced; that is to say borken down into individual video fields and frames and then interleaved on a videodisc. Thus, by playback in a "skipping stone" manner an individual sequence may be decoded and, by shifting during any one skip, another sequence may be switched to.
